At one time I thought I was doing the right thing for my kids bringing them up in the Wt. Cult. Of course I did not think of it as a cult then like I do now. I wish I never heard of the Wt. Now both my wife and I in our 60's can't see our grand kids. One child has told us to stay away from our grand kids until we get help and then he will determine if that help worked. What ever that means. But we did raise them in this cult and are resposibile for this out come. All they know is mind control and cult reasoning. They are both in their 30's and to them mom and dad are out of their minds. And since they think they know better than us they feel they have the upper hand on us. What they don't understand is time keeps going on and if they wait to long we may not be around to talk to them. My hope is the grand kids when they grow up will seek us out and find out why we was not around them when they was growing up. Yes I have great regret for bringing them up in the Wt. Cult. But at this point in our live's all my wife and I can do is move forward and hope our kids see the light on of these days. Still Totally ADD P.S. I did not see my wife's thread on this until I klick this message on.

Whatever happen to the teaching that the parents by their being baptised protects the child for the child in under their protection? It's so strange how this is suppose to be the most important thing you will ever do in your life yet we want children to do it. Why are they not pushing them to get married before they are teenagers or buying a house or drive a car. Oh they are not of legal age but in Wt. cult world it's OK for them to get baptised. I was 16 when I got baptised and I still did not know what I was doing. They use to look down their nose at other reglions that baptised children now they are doing it. Like it was said they are a cult and cult's do crazy things and think it's right because they feel they have God on their side. What a joke. Still Totally ADD

Don't forget the world looked like it was on it's last leg. Viet. war for the U.S., riots, assasination for prominent leaders, pollution, crime, space flight to the moon. All this going on and then more. As a child in the cult I could not get past that the Wt. was right. That chart at the time looked very accurate to me. But I was a kid I knew nothing else. I had no way of disproving it. Now I can see through all of it. I just shows you how strong mind control is. They misled many but at the same time was able to get past it and become even more powerful. That is what cluts are good at. Still Totally ADD

I like Sheldon statement when he told everyone "I am not crazy my mother had me tested". I love it when Bob Newhart guest starred on the program. At his age he still has it. It's hard for me to pick which one I like the most because they play off of each other so will. If one of them left I think the show would soon end. Still Totally ADD

Heads Up: If you are an older JW, WT has no further use for you!
by AndDontCallMeShirley inwt is retiring district overseers, has sent older jws serving at bethel packing despite years of faithful service, and as of june 1, 2014, has announced that any elder that has reached 80 years of age is no longer valued or wanted as a cobe.
in wt land it would appear that older people have little or no value, and wt sees no reason to use them in any meaningful capacity.
i wonder how this makes older ones feel after devoting their lives to wt's interests while shelving their own hopes and dreams?.

But AndDon'tCallMe Shirley you are talking about normal people who did great things in their Golden Years. After being brain dead for most of ther life in the cult. I have seen many older ones had a hard time understanding all the changes that take place every other year. My poor Dad when he got older had a hard time keeping up with all that new light the cult was dishing out. What I see is the Wt. wants younger drones to watch over the Wt. interest and when they are 80 they can enjoy all the blessings the cult has given them. Still Totally ADD

Atlanta Int Convention 2014:The Big Party. Does this look like WT believes Armageddon is coming "soon"?
by AndDontCallMeShirley inhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=potrr2qxhue.
.. if armageddon is "imminent", why is wt focused on sight-seeing, entertainment, travel, etc.
instead of preaching and saving people??.

The last time I was in Atlanta for a convention was in 1969. Open stadium during the day close to 100 degrees then the rain storms came in with all the lightning then the steam bath. Nine in the morning to nine at night 7 or 8 days long. It took over a week to get well becuase of all the extreme heat. No party's, not tours not even any ice. There was a ice shortage that week because of the heat. Only nonsense the big A was almost here. I was 15 at the time and that is the only convention I remember and hate to this day. The way they treated people back then is just unbelievable. I would have learned more if I stayed home and fish off my dock behind my parents house. LOL Still Totally ADD

Twilight Zone
by Ding ini just watched a rerun of the twilight zone episode where billy mumy played an omnipotent boy named anthony.. everyone had to pretend that anything he did was wonderful even if it terrified them.. they had to do anything to please him so as not to incur his wrath.. one guy got sick of it and told him off.. he begged the others to end the nightmare by killing the kid and thereby getting their lives back.. when they did nothing, the boy turned him into a jack-in-the-box and sent him into a cornfield.. the other adults were horrified, but smiled and told anthony it was a fine, fine thing that he just did.. when i saw it this time, it reminded me of how the wts functions.. the gb claims divine authority to run every aspect of jws' lives.. those who stand up to it are demonized and cast away.. the rest have to suppress any negative feelings and be "happified," lest they suffer the same fate..

I agree with punkofnice. They are a grabbing disease of a cult. But the die hards will stick with it. No matter what proof you showed them. The more enlighten ones on the other hand may finally wake up and leave. We can only hope. But even if that happen the Wt. would put a spin on it like this. "Dear Brothers and Sisters who have remained from this mass exist this just show us they do not love us and god. We have proof we are truly living in the last days. Satan is working very hard to take us away from our oversight. We must be strong and not allow this to happen to us. Please send us more money so we can keep this fight aganist Satan wicked attacks from hurting us. After all a rich GB member is a strong GB member." LOL Still Totally ADD
